The readers and contributors of Alaska Women Speak are varied - from Alaska's cities to Bush Alaska. We try to show women's life experience and we look for stories that come from and speak to women of all walks of life.
Alaska Women Speak is always looking for articles that feature Alaskan women in a positive light, empower women, as well as interviews with inspirational Alaskan women. If possible, please submit a photo to go with the story.
Because we have a page limit to our printed publication, articles that have reader interest and communicate a story with respect to the reader's time will have preference.
Articles of more than 1200 words will generally not be considered for publication.; please include a photo about the story.
Poetry is generally 40 lines or less, with a line width of 60 characters or less.

AWS prefers submissions as attachments, .doc or .rtf.

The deadlines will generally be February 15th, May 15th, August 15th, and November 15th, ie one month before the issue's issuance.
